7 Things You Should Be Doing During Unemployment

Today’s world is very competitive world. You will get hired for your skill, but you can get fired for somebody else’s skill. He or she may or may not be doing the job better than you, but definitely cheaper than you. This scenario is bound to make you frustrated and lose your cool; but what’s going to be the benefit other than losing your happiness, sleep and sometime family. So, what you should ideally be doing during this period. I have prepared a list, which may help you a little bit: 1)       Take a short break before starting your next sojourn : You were working hard, your skills were also relevant to the work you were doing. But one day your HR Manager and your Reviewing Officer called you in a meeting room and told you that you are a good worker and they are equally pained in saying this thing, but for organization’s overall benefit, they are firing you. You are hit and you are badly hit. You don’t know what to do, where to go, whom to tell. You h...

Story of 'Cup Half Empty'

Image
Many a time I have heard the story of ‘ Cup Half Empty ’, which inspires people to be always ready to learn. Though I keep myself busy learning new things from anybody and everybody, I never took this story so literally until few days back when I went for trip to Prayag, Varanasi and Sarnath. This four day trip was not only refreshing for me but educating as well. I went on this trip with not much expectation and no prejudice and what turned out for me was an awesome experience. It taught me the meaning of faith, it taught me to not to be complacent and it taught me to let old and painful emotions to go and empty the space in your mind and heart to accept happiness and contentment.  What I learnt: 1)       What is faith : It is stepping the stairs in the darkness without fearing any misstep, it is coming back to the bank of river Ganga in millions without thinking about food and shelter but a dip in the river, working for better future w...

Six Lesson of Business, Business Model and Revenue Model I Learned As Digital Commerce Entrepreneur and Consultant

Image
As an e-commerce entrepreneur, I believed and believe more in having a robust revenue model first before going to more philosophical business model. I believe that any business must start earning money first to spend on other aspects like value delivery mechanism, human resource etc. While saying so, I am no way reducing the importance of business model; after all, revenue model is just a subset and business model is universe. The "Harvard Business Review on Business Model Innovation" charts four basic tenets of a business model: how the company creates and delivers value to its customers, the ways in which the company will earn a profit, which key components will be utilized and which key processes the company will incorporate. Key components include staff and human resources, machinery and technology as well as branding efforts. Business operations such as manufacturing and training make up the business's key processes. Each business model differs dependin...

Four Weird Reason Why I am waiting for New Blackberry 10 OS Enabled Samrtphones

Experts have been busy writing RIP messages for RIM, while team RIM were busy preparing their safety vehicle Blackberry 10. And honestly speaking, I was eagerly waiting for it as well. I was eagerly waiting for latest Blackberry smartphone which was once leader in this category. One of my mobile phones since last eight year has been Blackberry, other one being any other brand like Samsung, NOKIA or Motorola. I am self confessed Blackberry fan. BlackBerry unveiled two phones with the new BlackBerry 10 system. The Q10 will have a physical keyboard, while the Z10 has only a touch-screen keyboard. I was not waiting only for these following reasons: 1) The Z10 which has a 4.2-inch screen (1,280 x 768 display). 2) 130 millimeters (5.1 inches) length and weight of 137 grams (4.8 ounces) for Z10. Blackberry Q 10 has a squarish screen measuring 3.1 inches (7.8 centimeters) diagonally. 3) 1.5GHz Qualcomm MSM8960 dual-core CPU with 2GB of RAM. 4) 16 gigabytes of storage, pl...
